About 22 km North of Quito is La Mitad Del Mundo, the town of San Antonio de Pichincha, a trapezoidal monument represents the crossing of the Equatorial Line that divides the world into two hemispheres: North and South, and the excellent Ethnographic Museum that is lodged inside the monument.

Quito – Mitad del Mundo, Pululahua volcano (1h-daily)

The tour begins at the Mirador del Guápulo with a view of the nearby valleys and part of the great mountain range.

We continue the journey to the old city, where we will take a walk visiting several churches, museums and monuments that reveal all the grandeur and splendor of colonial art.

We will ascend to «El Panecillo» a small colony that dominates the center of Quito where we will have a general view of the city. Finally we will go to the Pululahua Reserve where we can observe an extensive populated valley settled in the gigantic crater of the extinct volcano. Return to Quito.
